I started Sound VetPath in 2012 to provide high quality diagnostic veterinary pathology. Sound VetPath offers necropsies and forensic necropsies to veterinarians in Western Washington, including the Greater Seattle area. I also have a fully digital ocular pathology service. We are dedicated to building relationships with veterinarians and working directly with you.
I completed my veterinary education at the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. After a year in small animal emergency practice, I started my pathology training at the University of Washington in Seattle. Since then I have worked in academia, government and for a private diagnostic laboratory. I started Sound VetPath to provide high quality diagnostic pathology in necropsy, veterinary ocular pathology and exotic and wildlife pathology. I care about quality and not quantity. While working at the University of Sydney Veterinary School as a pathologist, I worked with dozens of species, ranging from koala and kangaroos, to cockatoos, ornamental tropical fish and domestic species. I also participated in the ocular pathology service where we worked closely with veterinary ophthalmologists. This was one of my favorite areas of pathology due to the close interactions between pathology and clinical interpretation to provide an accurate diagnosis.
I started Sound VetPath because I wanted a service that provides quality veterinary pathology to the local veterinary community. I love the Pacific Northwest and wanted to live in one of the most beautiful places in the country while working in the field I am passionate about.
I am an active member of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, American Veterinary Medical Association, Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, and American Chemical Society.
